How do I voice a concern?If you have a concern with your alarm system itself, you should contact the alarm company that installed your alarm system. If you have a concern with alarm monitoring, you should contact SWRCC either by email (alarm-monitoring@swrcc.net), in person at 200 S. Parks, DeSoto, TX 75115, or by phone at 972.223.6111 (ask for on-duty supervisor).

How do I file a police report?You may contact SWRCC at 972.223.6111, and we will initiate a call for service and assign the appropriate agency to take your report.

How do I file a lost property report?You may file a lost property report with the police department in the city in which you reside. The phone numbers are listed below.

How do I contact animal control?You can reach animal control for each city by calling 9-1-1 (for vicious or dangerous animals) or 972.223.6111.

How do I get an alarm permit?In DeSoto, alarm permits are issued at City Hall at 211 E. Pleasant Run Rd., DeSoto, TX 75115 from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday-Wednesday and Friday, Thursday from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm at the Water Utilities payment counter.
In Cedar Hill, Alarm Permits are issued at the police department located at 601 E. Beltline Rd., Cedar Hill, TX 75106 and can be issued 24 hours per day, 7 days a week in the police department lobby.
In Duncanville, alarm permits are issued at the police department located at 203 E. Wheatland, Duncaville, TX 75116 or visit the website, and you can file for and pay for an alarm permit online.

How do I find someone who can convert my alarm?You may contact the alarm company who originally installed your alarm system, look under "ALARM" in the yellow pages, conduct an internet search for alarm installers, or send us an e-mail at alarm-monitoring@swrcc.net to have our alarm accounts representative contact you for further assistance.

How do I sign up for alarm monitoring?Contact SWRCC either by e-mail at alarm-monitoring@swrcc.net, by phone at 972.223.6111, or download the forms from our website.

How do I apply for a job?To apply for a dispatch position, download the application and personal history statement from the SWRCC website. After filling the forms out fully and completely, submit them to the City of DeSoto Human Resources Department. For other city positions, you can visit each city's website, through its link on the left of this page, or call the following phone numbers for job hotlines:

How do I locate a job application?You may fill out your application online under each city's website. You may also print an application, fill it out completely and then take it to the City Hall's address in teh city for which you are applying:

SWRCC is a consolidated communications center that currently serves the communities of Cedar Hill, DeSoto and Duncanville. SWRCC seamlessly integrates with the police and fire departments of each city so that there is no loss in the quality of service that the public has come to expect. The dispatch center is located in the City of DeSoto in a building dedicated solely to emergency communications operations.
