Alarm Monitoring

Alarm Monitoring through SWRCC

Since 1999, Southwest Regional Communications Center (SWRCC) has been operating continuously, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, providing 9-1-1 emergency services in your community.

SWRCC also provides fire and security alarm system monitoring. This "city service" is offered as a fee-based service, available to every household and business in Cedar Hill, DeSoto, and Duncanville.

Imagine how much time could be saved if your alarm was attached DIRECTLY to your 9-1-1, Police, Fire and EMS dispatch center.

SWRCC has the following Mission Statement;

of critical information to the citizens and agencies we serve

In the traditional alarm monitoring model, when your alarm is triggered, the alarm panel in your home uses the public telephone system to call a commercial monitoring center, which must then call the local 9-1-1 center serving your area. With SWRCC Alarm Monitoring, your alarm panel reports directly to SWRCC.

After obtaining an alarm permit, please contact SWRCC, and we will schedule a licensed service provider to re-program your alarm panel. The alarm service provider will contact SWRCC with the appropriate information necessary to activate your account.

Typical re-reprogramming fees are $135.00, which is paid directly to the alarm service provider. Upon activation of the account, SWRCC provides a $75.00 credit towards future monthly monitoring fees to offset this initial expense. Installation of cellular system monitoring is based on the customers current alarm system and will incur additional costs. Our licensed service providers will be happy to provide you with a quote for this additional equipment.

The alarm monitoring fee is $25.00 per month for traditional telephone alarm monitoring. We also offer a fully cellular system for $35.00 a month for residents that no longer want traditional home telephone service. You can be billed monthly, quarterly, or annually. Just indicate your preference on your contract.
